The centre is a crowded place, but the outskirts of the centre is overcrowded. Filled with individuals desperately trying to conform and modify anything with the hopes to establish an unstable position within the centre. I, like many other girls, have succumbed to this ongoing trend. Fighting to be faultless in a world that had already denied who I am – black, female and unconventional. These prints are a reflection of the toxicity of submitting to the inferiority complexes classified to ‘your kind’. Underlyingly, this is a representation of how complexes are choices.
